At Erin Williams Counseling, we provide down-to-earth, and dare we say it… fun counseling

WE KNOW THAT MANY PEOPLE ARE WALKING AROUND WITH CHILDHOOD TRAUMA, PTSD, LOSS, AND RELATIONSHIP ISSUES THAT CAUSE LIFE TO FEEL HEAVY.

We are a safe place for you to grow, heal, learn, and find hope from within to lift that heaviness.

Our approach is professional and caring, and we believe each patient is the expert of

their own story.

We also know, from abundant research, the most important predictor of treatment outcomes is your relationship with your therapist.

YOUR THERAPIST NEEDS TO BE A SAFE PLACE FOR YOUR FEELINGS, THOUGHTS, AND PAIN. WE TAKE THIS ROLE VERY SERIOUSLY AS WE KNOW WHAT WE ARE OFTEN MODELING WHAT OUR CLIENTS DID NOT GET, OR ARE NOT GETTING, FROM THOSE IN THEIR LIVES.

Ashlea Erin Williams | Counseling-Canton, Texas

Ashlea Perkins, M.A., LPC, LCDC

Working with Ashlea is like sitting with a friend, but better. Her clients wonder if she has magical powers. They leave sessions feeling awe of the clarity they’ve gained in areas of their life that once seemed confusing.

Ashlea specializes in helping individuals with anxiety, depression, and ADHD. She has ADHD and anxiety herself, so she’s in an ideal place to support others with these diagnoses. She has a natural ability to connect with all types of people, but teens and young adults are her jam! In sessions with her, you’ll laugh while playing board games or being reflective while being creative.

A few fun facts about Ashlea are:

・Ashlea loves video games (she even has video game tattoos!), and if you’re into video games, she can incorporate themes and characters from games into sessions with clients.

・On weekends, you can find Ashlea and her husband hanging out with their fur babies.

Zoe Clasen, M.S., LPC-Associate

Supervised by Dr, Angela Martilik, PhD, LPC-S

Hey there, I'm Zoe Clasen! Let me whisk you away on a little journey into my world. I hail from a bustling, blended family and currently play superhero to my three younger adopted siblings. It's this chaotic joy that sparked my passion for guiding kids, teens, and young adults. My own counseling, following the loss of my beloved older brother at the tender age of 12, opened my heart to the world of mental health. Battling depression and anxiety, I found solace in therapy and now, armed with this experience, I'm on a mission to help others rediscover their true selves. Let's walk this path together, shall we?

I'm like a superhero sidekick for teens and young adults, swooping in to help tackle the emotional rollercoaster of grief, anxiety, bullies, and society's crazy demands.

And for the grown-ups, I'm here to guide you through relationship struggles, work woes, anxiety, the blues, and whatever else life throws your way. My therapeutic environment is secure, inclusive, and cooperative, aimed at helping you achieve your desired outcomes.

There are times in life when we face problems that seem too difficult to overcome on our own. John Lennon once said “Everything will be okay in the end, if it’s not okay it’s not the end.” Even in our darkest times, there is always hope for something better.

Meet Teddy.

dog Erin Williams | Counseling-Canton, Texas

Hello, My name is Teddy (Theodore Roosevelt Williams) I’m a miniature Bernedoodle (half Bernese Mountain Dog and Poodle). I LOVE people, I have graduated obedience school, but still have trouble remembering not to jump on people when I am excited!

I have one sister and two brothers. My brother, Bob (Chocolate Lab) and I are very close. Bob is my best friend.

My goal is to attend Texas State University in the summer to begin training for Animal-Assisted Counseling (AAC). The next step is for me to receive my Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certificate.

This certificate is required to ensure my mom and I have mastered basic skills as a team. Wish me luck on my training. I really want to work with children and families.

P.S. - Teddy loves treats!
