at Erin Williams Counseling

Our modern and down-to-earth approach to therapy is a breath of fresh air for individuals, teens, couples, and families ready to ditch stuffy or boring therapy.

We know our clients are going through heavy things, and we provide a safe place for people to find hope from within.

You are the expert on your own life—we’re just here to help navigate.

Helping you heal through

RELATIONSHIP ISSUES

As one of the only Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists practicing in Van Zandt County, Erin uses the Gottman Method to help restore marriages and committed relationships. The Gottman Method helps couples strengthen their relationships in three primary areas: friendship, conflict management, and creating shared meaning.

Couples will be seen together for the first session, each individually for one session, and then the rest of the sessions are together, usually every other week, unless otherwise discussed with your therapist.

PTSD

PTSD is a mental health diagnosis that reaches far beyond what some consider to be PTSD. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder applies to anyone who has lasting effects from experiencing a traumatic event. Some people with PTSD are even still living in a traumatic setting.

While you may never be completely healed in this life, we strongly believe you can experience healing throughout your journey.

ANXIETY, DEPRESSION, & ADHD

Anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other neurodiversity all impact your life day in and day out. Meeting with a therapist can give you invaluable coping tools, help you understand yourself better, and provide you with hope for your future.

CHILDHOOD TRAUMA

Far too many of us have experienced childhood trauma, which continues to affect the way we interact with the world and our current relationships. Inner child work is just one of the methods we use to address childhood trauma.

*SESSION FEES VARY BY THERAPIST

For most presenting problems, therapy can take place every other week, depending on the severity of your issue and your goals. Your therapist will be transparent with you about your treatment and where you are at along the way in meeting your goals.

Our Process

01.

INQUIRE.

Whether you heard of Erin Williams Counseling from a friend or you came across our website, just email, text, call, or fill out the contact form on our website to let us know you’re interested in therapy.

02.

INTAKE.

After we receive your inquiry, we’ll reach out to you and ask for a quick snapshot of why you’re seeking counseling. We’ll pair you with a therapist that’s right for you (even if that therapist doesn’t work here! We care more about your mental health than signing you on as a client!) And if it seems like a good fit, we’ll send you an intake form for you to complete.

03.

ONBOARDING.

During our first meeting, help yourself to snacks, soda, or coffee, and make yourself at home. We’ll review your intake forms together, and then we’ll want to hear about what brought you in, as well as your goals.

04.

TREATMENT PLAN.

The next time you come in, we’ll review your treatment plan. Most patients are seen in person every other week at the same time throughout their treatment plan. Some patients taper down to monthly treatments until they are discharged.

If you’re ready to have a down-to-earth, compassionate guide through your personal or relationship journey, contact Erin Williams Counseling to get started!
